Three arrested after car pushed wrong way along two major roads before…

Three people have been arrested in connection with the theft of a motor means after a Mercedes was spotted driving the wrong way along two main roads.

Greater Manchester Police Traffic tweeted at 12.56 today (Tuesday) that the car was abandoned in Walkden, to the north west of the city, and the trio apprehended. One of the arrested people was recalled to prison.

The force said: “Earlier today #ME14, #ME54, #XT14 and #XT74 pursued a Mercedes GLA220 from Farnworth into Swinton.

“It travelled contra on the A666 and the A580 forcing other cars out the way. Abandoned Walkden and 3 arrested for TOMV. One of which also ingemination to prison. #teamwork@NWmwaypolice.”
