Bolton Wanderers’ expected line-up for Sheffield Wednesday League One…

WANDERERS return to League One action when they head to Hillsborough to take on Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday afternoon (KO 3pm).

Ian Evatt’s men go into the game on the back of a 4-1 win against Liverpool Under-21s in the Papa John’s Trophy on Tuesday night.

The Whites sit seventh in the league table and could climb into the play-off places with a win against the Owls.

Team news

Gethin Jones is obtainable after missing Tuesday night’s game with a dead leg suffered in the win against Shrewsbury, while Xavier Amaechi, Andrew Tutte and Liam Edwards keep sidelined.

Sam Hutchinson could characterize for the hosts after missing the last two fixtures but George Byers misses out by injury.

Opposition lowdown

Darren Moore’s men were relegated from the Championship last season following a emotional 3-3 draw with Derby on the final day.

The Owls had a busy move window, bringing in 14 new players including Saido Berahino and Bailey Peacock-Farrell.

The Yorkshire outfit sit 12th in the league table after picking up 15 points from their opening 10 fixtures back in the third tier.

They recorded a 2-1 win at Mansfield Town in the Papa John’s Trophy on Tuesday night thanks to goals from Lewis Wing and Florian Kamberi.
